SPIRITUAL THEMES OF THE KORAN (AND THE BIBLE)

1)	KORAN / GENERAL (NUMEROUS PASSAGES - APPROX. 1/3 OF KORAN)

1)	17:99
2)	21:48
3)	21:103-104
4)	22:1-2
5)	39:67-70
6)	56:1-16
7)	77:7-11
8)	80:33-42

Note that each passage is so different in its desciption of the Hour.
How are we going to understand what God is telling us if it is so difficult?
What is God doing in making his message so violent but unclear or beyond our
physical understanding?

1) 17:99 And He whom God shall guide will be guided indeed; and whom he shall mislead
thou shalt find none to assist, but Him: and we will gather them together on the day
of the resurrection, on their faces, blind and dumb and deaf: Hell shall be their
abode: so oft as its fires die down, we will rekindle the flame.

17:100 This shall be their reward for that they believed not our signs and said, "When
we shall have become bones and dust, shall we surely be raised a new creation?" (Rodwell)

and again

17:99 Those whom God guides are rightly guided; but those whom He confounds shall find
no friend besides Him. We shall gather them all on the Day of Resurrection, prostrate
upon their faces, blind, dumb, and deaf. Hell shall be their home: whenever its flames
die down We will rekindle them into a greater fire.

17:100 Thus shall they be rewarded: because they disbelieved Our revelations and said:
'When we are turned to bones and dust, shall we be restored in a new creation?' (Dawood)

2) 21:48 Just balances will we set up for the day of the resurrection, neither shall
any soul be wronged in aught; though, were a work but the weight of a grain of mustard
seed, we would bring it forth to be weighed: and our reckoning will suffice. (Rodwell)

and again

21:48 We shall set up just scales on the Day of Resurrection, so that no man shall in
the least be wronged. Actions as small as a grain of mustard seed shall be weighed out.
Our reckoning shall suffice. (Dawood)

3) 21:103-104 The great terror shall not trouble them; and the angel shall meet them
with, "This is your day which you were promised." On that day we will roll up the
heaven as one rolleth up written scrolls. As we made the first creation, so will we
bring it forth again. This promise bindeth us; verily, we will perform it. (Rodwell)

and again

21:103-104 The Supreme Terror shall not grieve them, and the angels will receive
them, saying:
'This is the day you have been promised.' On that day We shall roll up the heaven
like a scroll of parchment. Just as We brought the First Creation into being, so will
We restore it. This is a promise We shall assuredly fulfil. (Dawood)

4) 22:1-2 O Men of Mecca, fear your Lord. Verily, the earthquake of the last Hour
will be a tremendous thing!

On the day when you shall behold it, every suckling woman shall forsake her sucking
babe; and every woman that hath a burden in her womb shall cast her burden; and thou
shalt see men drunken, yet are they not drunken: but it is the mighty chastisement
of God! (Rodwell)

and again

22:1 You people, have fear of your Lord. The catastrophe of the Hour of Doom shall be
terrible indeed.

When that day comes, every suckling mother shall forsake her infant, every pregnant
female shall cast her burden, and you shall see mankind reeling like drunkards although
not drunk: such shall be the horror of God's chastisement. (Dawood)

5) 39:67-70 But they have not deemed of God as is He due; for on the resurrection
day the whole Earth shall be but his handful, and in his right hand shall the Heavens
be folded together. Praise be to Him! and high be He uplifted above the partners they
join with Him!

And there shall be a blast on the trumpet, and all who are in the Heavens and all who
are in the Earth shall expire, save those whom God shall vouchsafe to live. Then shall
there be another blast on it, and lo! arising they shall gaze around them:

And the earth shall shine with the light of her lord, and the Book shall be set, and
the prophets shall be brought up, and the witnesses; and judgment shall be given between
them with equity; and none shall be wronged:

And every soul shall receive as it shall have wrought, for well knoweth He men's
actions. (Rodwell)

and again

39:67-70 They underrate the might of God. But on the Day of Resurrection He will
hold the entire earth in His grasp and fold up the heavens in His right hand. Glory
be to Him! Exalted be He above their idols!

The Trumpet shall be blown, and all who are in the heavens and on earth shall fall
down fainting, except those that shall be spared by God. Then the Trumpet will be
blown again and they shall rise and gaze around them.

The earth will shine with the light of her Lord, and the Book will be laid open.
The prophets and the witnesses shall be brought in, and all shall be judged with
fairness: none shall be wronged.

39:70 Every soul shall be recompensed according to its deeds, for He best knows all
that they did. (Dawood)

6) 56:1-16 When the day that must come shall have come suddenly,
None shall treat that sudden coming as a lie:
Day that shall abase! Day that shall exalt!

When the earth shall be shaken with a shock,
And the mountains shall be crumbled with a crumbling,
And shall become scattered dust,
And into three bands shall you be divided:

Then the people of the right hand -- Oh! how happy shall be the people of the right hand!
And the people of the left hand -- Oh! how wretched shall be the people of the left hand!
56:10 And they who were foremost on earth -- the foremost still.

These are they who shall be brought nigh to God,
In gardens of delight;
A crown of the former
And few of the latter generations;
On inwrought couches
Reclining on them face to face: (Rodwell)

56:1-16 When that which is coming comes -- and no soul shall then deny its coming --
some shall be abased and others exalted.

When the earth shakes and quivers, and the mountains crumble away and scatter abroad
into fine dust, you shall be divided into three multitudes: those on the right (blessed
shall be those on the right); those on the left (damned shall be those on the left);
and those to the fore (foremost shall be those).

56:10 Such are they that shall be brought near to their Lord in the gardens of delight:
a whole multitude from the men of old, but only a few from the latter generations.

They shall recline on jewelled couches face to face, (Dawood)

7) 77:7-11 Verily that which you are promised is imminent.
When the stars, therefore, shall be blotted out,
And when the heaven shall be cleft,
And when the mountains shall be scattered in dust,
And when the Apostles shall have a time assigned them; (Rodwell)

and again

77:7-11 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled!
When the stars are blotted out; when the sky is rent asunder
and the mountains crumble into dust; when the apostles are brought
together on the appointed day -- when will all this be?
Upon the Day of Judgement!

Would that you knew what the Day of Judgement is! (Dawood)

8) 80:33-42 But when the stunning trumpet-blast shall arrive,
On that day shall a man fly from his brother,
And his mother and his father,
And his wife and his children;

For every man of them on that day his own concerns shall be enough.

There shall be faces on that day radiant,
Laughing and joyous:
And faces on that day with dust upon them:
Blackness shall cover them!

These are the Infidels, the Impure. (Rodwell)

and again

80:33-42 But when the dread blast is sounded, on that day each man will forsake his
brother, his mother and his father, his wife and his children: for each one of them
will on that day have enough sorrow of his own.

On that day there shall be beaming faces, smiling and joyful.
On that day there shall be faces veiled with darkness, covered with dust.
These shall be the faces of the sinful unbelievers. (Dawood)

SECTION 2

SPIRITUAL THEMES OF THE KORAN (AND THE BIBLE)

1)	KORAN

	1)	3:5
	2)	59:21
	3)	24:35
	4)	2:24
	5)	13:18

2)	BIBLE

	1)	Mark	4:33 - 34
	2)	Luc	8:9 - 10
	3)	Matthew	13:l - 2 / 10 - 12 / 13 - 17

3)	BAHA'U'LLAH / BOOK OF CERTITUDE

	1)	"Each passage of Koran has 70 meanings" (p.162-163)
	2)	"Verily Our word is abstruse, bewilderingly abstruse." (p.53)
	3)	"Purpose of obscure passages" (p.32 and 6)
	4)	"Ways of God are contrary to the ways of men" (p.37)
	5)	Koran 5:53
	6)	Koran 16:9
	7)	Koran 2l:16-18
	8)	Koran 47: 30 - 33

"Now that we have the foundation -- we can read the Koran and the Bible with
our inner eyes and hear with our inner ears... like Jesus says...

1)	KORAN

	1) 3:5 He it is who hath sent down to thee "the Book." Some of its signs are of
themselves perspicuous; -- these are the basis of the Book -- and others are
figurative. But they whose hearts are given to err, follow its figures, craving
discord, craving an interpretation; yet none knoweth its interpretation but God.
And the stable in knowledge say, "We believe in it: it is all from our Lord."
But none will bear this in mind, save men endued with understanding. (Rodwell)

	and again

3:5 It is He who has revealed to you the Book. Some of its verses are
precise in meaning they are the foundation of the Book -- and others
ambiguous. Those whose hearts are infected with disbelief observe the
ambiguous part, so as to create dissension by seeking to explain it.
But no one knows its meaning except God.

	2) 59:21 Had we sent down this Koran on some mountain, thou wouldst certainly
have seen it humbling itself and cleaving asunder for the fear of God.
Such are the parables we propose to men in order that they may reflect. (Rodwell)

	and again

59:21 Had We brought down this Koran upon a mountain, you would have seen it
humble itself and break asunder for fear of God. In such parables We speak
to men, so that they may take thought. (Dawood)

	3) 24:35 God is the light of the Heavens and of the Earth. His Light
is like a niche in which is a lamp -- the lamp encased in glass -- the
glass, as it were, a glistening star. From a blessed tree it is lighted,
the olive neither of the East nor of the West, whose oil would well
nigh shine out, even though fire touched it not! It is light upon
light. God guideth whom He will to His light, and God setteth forth
parables to men, for God knoweth all things. (Rodwell)

	and again

24:35 God is the light of the heavens and the earth. His light may be
compared to a niche that enshrines a lamp, the lamp within a crystal
of star-like brilliance. It is lit from a blessed olive tree neither
eastern nor western. Its very oil would almost shine forth, though
no fire touched it. Light upon light; God guides to His light whom He will.

God speaks in parables to mankind. God has knowledge of all things. (Dawood)

	4) 2:24 Verily God is not ashamed to set forth as well the instance of
a gnat as of any nobler object: for as to those who have believed,
they know it to be the truth from their Lord; but as to the unbelievers,
they will say, "What meaneth God by this comparison?" Many will He
mislead by such parables and many guide: but none will He mislead
	thereby except the wicked, (Rodwell)

	and again

2:24 God does not disdain to make comparison with a gnat or with a
larger creature. The faithful know that it is the truth from their
Lord, but the unbelievers ask: 'What could God mean by this comparison?'
By such comparisons God confounds many and enlightens many. (Dawood)

	5) 13:18 He sendeth down the rain from Heaven: then flow the torrents
in their due measure, and the flood beareth along a swelling foam.
And from the metals which are molten in the fire for the sake of
ornaments or utensils, a like scum ariseth. In this way doth God depict
(set forth) truth and falsehood. As to the foam, it is quickly gone:
and as to what is useful to man, it remaineth on the earth,. Thus doth
God set forth comparisons! To those who respond to their Lord shall be
an excellent reward; but those who respond not to his call, had they all
that the earth containeth twice over, they would surely give it for
	their ransom. (Rodwell)

	and again

He sends down water from the sky which fills the riverbeds to overflowing,
so that the torrent bears a swelling foam, akin to that which rises
from smelted ore when men make ornaments and tools. Thus God depicts
truth and falsehood. The scum is cast away, but that which is of use
to man remains behind. Even thus God speaks in parables. (Dawood)

2)	BIBLE

	1) Mark	4:33 - 34 And with many such parables spake he the word unto
them, as they were able to hear it; and without a parable spake he
not unto them: but privately to his own disciples he expounded all things.

	2) Luc	8:9 - 10 AAnd his disciples asked him what this parable might be.
And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom
of God: but to the rest in parables; that seeing they may not see,
and hearing they may not understand.

	3) Matthew 13:l - 2 On that day went Jesus out of the house, and sat
by the sea side. {13:2) And there were gathered unto him great
multitudes, so that he entered into a boat, and sat; and all the
	multitude stood on the beach.

Matthew 13:l0 - 12 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why
speakest thou unto them in parables? And he answered and said unto them,
Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to
them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he
shall have abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken
away even that which he hath.

Matthew 13:l3 - 17 Therefore speak I to them in parables; because
seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
And unto them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith,
	By hearing ye shall hear,
	and shall in no wise understand;
	And seeing ye shall see,
and shall in no wise perceive:
For this people's heart is waxed gross,
And their ears are dull of hearing,
	And their eyes they have closed;
Lest haply they should perceive with their eyes,
	And hear with their ears,
	And understand with their heart,
	And should turn again,
	And I should heal them.

But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for
they hear. For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and
	righteous men desired to see the things which ye see, and saw them not;
and to hear the things which ye hear, and heard them not.

3)	BAHA'U'LLAH / BOOK OF CERTITUDE

	1)	"Each passage of Koran has 70 meanings" (p.162-163)

None apprehendeth the meaning of these utterances except them whose
hearts are assured, whose souls have found favour with God, and
whose minds are detached from all else but Him. In such utterances,
the literal meaning, as generally understood by the people, is not
what hath been intended. Thus it is recorded: "Every knowledge hath
seventy meanings, of which one only is known amongst the people. And
when the Qá'im shall arise, He shall reveal unto men all that
	which remaineth."

	2)	"Verily Our word is abstruse, bewilderingly abstruse." (p.53)

As they have literally interpreted the Word of God, and the sayings
and traditions of the Letters of Unity, and expounded them according
to their own deficient understanding, they have therefore deprived
themselves and all their people of the bountiful showers of the grace
and mercies of God. And yet they bear witness to this well-known
tradition: "Verily Our Word is abstruse, bewilderingly abstruse." In
another instance, it is said: "Our Cause is sorely trying, highly
perplexing; none can bear it except a favorite of heaven, or an inspired
Prophet, or he whose faith God hath tested."

	3)	"Purpose of obscure passages" (p.32 and 6)

Know verily that the purpose underlying all these symbolic terms
and abstruse allusions, which emanate from the Revealers of God's
	holy Cause, hath been to test and prove the peoples of the world;
that thereby the earth of the pure and illuminated hearts may be
known from the perishable and barren soil. (pg 32)

And now, consider and reflect a moment upon the waywardness of this
people. What could have been the reason for such denial and avoidance
on their part? What could have induced them to refuse to put off the
garment of denial, and to adorn themselves with the robe of acceptance? (pg 6)

	4)	"Ways of God are contrary to the ways of men" (p.37)

Behold how contrary are the ways of the Manifestations of God,
as ordained by the King of creation, to the ways and desires of men!
As thou comest to comprehend the essence of these divine mysteries,
thou wilt grasp the purpose of God, the divine Charmer, the Best-Beloved. (pg 37)

	5)	Koran 5:53

And if God had pleased He had surely made you all one people; but
He would test you by what He hath given to each. Be emulous, then,
in good deeds. To God shall you all return, and He will tell you
concerning the subjects of your disputes.

	6)	Koran 16:9

Of God it is to point out "the Way." some turn aside from it: but
had He pleased, He had guided you all aright.

	7)	Koran 2l:16-18

We created not the heaven and the earth, and what is between them,
for sport: Had it been our wish to find a pastime, we had surely
found it in ourselves; -- if to do so had been our will.

Nay, we will hurl the truth at falsehood, and it shall smite it,
and lo! it shall vanish. But woe be to you for what you utter of God!

	8)	Koran 47: 30 - 33

This -- because they follow that which angerth God, and abhor what
pleaseth Him: therefore will He make their works fruitless.
Think these men of diseased hearts, that God will not bring out
	their malice to light?
If such were our pleasure, we could point them out to thee, and
thou surely know them by their tokens: and know them thou shalt,
by the strangeness of their words. God knoweth your doings.
And we will surely test you, until we know the valiant and the
steadfast among you: and we will test the reports of your conduct.

SECTION 3

THE OLD AND THE NEW TESTAMENT (THE BIBLE)

SPIRITUAL THEMES OF THE KORAN (AND THE BIBLE)

1)	KORAN

	1)	3:2
	2)	5:48
	3)	5:50 - 52
	4)	5:72
	5)	6:156
	6)	21:105

2)	BOOK OF CERTITUDE

	1)	"Bible that we have today is the word of God" (p.57)
	2)	"Torah in the time of Muhammad is the same that we have today" (p.54 55)

SPIRITUAL THEMES OF THE KORAN (AND THE BIBLE)

1)	KORAN

	1) 3:2 In truth hath He sent down to thee "the Book," which confirmeth
those which precede it: For He had sent down the Law, and the Evangel
aforetime, as man's Guidance; and now hath He sent down the
	"Illumination." (Furkan.) (Rodwell)

	and again

3:2 He has revealed to you the Book with the Truth, confirming the
scriptures which preceded it; for He has already revealed the Torah
and the Gospel for the guidance of mankind, and the distinction
	between right and wrong. (Dawood)

	2) 5:48 Verily, we have sent down the law (Towrat) wherein are guidance
	and light. By it did the prophets who professed Islam judge the Jews;
and the doctors and the teachers judged by that portion of the Book
of God, of which they were the keepers and the witnesses. Therefore,
O Jews! fear not men but fear Me; and barter not away my signs for
a mean price! And whoso will not judge by what God hath sent down --
	such are the Infidels. (Rodwell)

	and again

5:48 We have revealed the Torah, in which there is guidance and light.
By it the prophets who submitted to God judged the Jews, and so did
the rabbis and the divines, according to God's Book which had been
committed to their keeping and to which they themselves were witnesses.
Have no fear of man; fear Me, and do not sell My revelations for a paltry sum.
Unbelievers are those who do not judge according to God's revelations.

	3) 5:50 - 52 And in the footsteps of the prophets caused we Jesus, the
son of Mary, to follow, confirming the law which was before him: and we gave
him the Evangel with its guidance and light, confirmatory of the preceding
Law; a guidance and warning to those who fear God; --
And that the people of the Evangel may judge according to what God
hath sent down therein. And whoso will not judge by what God hath
sent down -- such are the perverse.

And to thee we have sent down the Book of the Koran with truth,
confirmatory of previous Scriptures, and their safeguard. Judge
therefore between them by what God hath sent down, and follow not
their desires by deserting the truth which hath come unto thee.
To every one of you have we given a rule and a beaten track. (Rodwell)

	and again

After them We sent forth Jesus, son of Mary, confirming the Torah
already revealed, and gave him the Gospel, in which there is guidance
and light, corroborating what was revealed before it in the Torah:
a guide and an admonition to the righteous. Therefore let those
who follow the Gospel judge according to what God has revealed therein.
Evil-doers are those that do not judge according to God's revelations.

And to you We have revealed the Book with the truth. It confirms
the Scriptures which came before it and stands as a guardian over them.
Therefore give judgement among men according to God's revelations,
and do not yield to their whims or swerve from the truth made known to you.

We have ordained a law and assigned a path for each of you. (Dawood)

	4) 5:72 Say: O people of the Book! you have no ground to stand on,
until you observe the Law and the Evangel, and that which hath been
sent down to you from your Lord. The Book which hath been sent down
to thee from thy Lord will certainly increase the rebellion and
unbelief of many of them; but, be not thou troubled for the
	unbelievers. (Rodwell)

	and again

Apostle, proclaim what has been revealed to you from your Lord; if you
do not, you will surely fail to convey His message. God will protect
you from all men. God does not guide the unbelievers. (Dawood)

	5) 6:156 Then gave we the Book to Moses -- complete for him who should
do right, and a decision for all matters, and a guidance, and a mercy,
that they might believe in the meeting with their Lord.
Blessed, too, this Book which we have sent down. (Rodwell)

	and again

To Moses We gave the Scriptures, a perfect code for the righteous with
precepts about all things, a guide and a benison, so that they might
believe in meeting their Lord. And now We have revealed this Book
	truly blessed. (Dawood)

	6) 21:105 And now, since the Law was given, have we written in the Psalms
that "my servants, the righteous, shall inherit the earth." (Rodwell)

	and again

We wrote in the Psalms after the Torah was revealed: 'The righteous
among My servants shall inherit the earth.' That is an admonition
to those who serve Us. (Dawood)

2)	BOOK OF CERTITUDE

	1) We have also heard a number of the foolish of the earth assert that
the genuine text of the heavenly Gospel doth not exist amongst the
Christians, that it hath ascended unto heaven. How grievously they
have erred! . . . What would be left to that people to cling to from
the setting of the day-star of Jesus until the rise of the sun of the
Muhammadan Dispensation? . . . How could the ocean of His tender
mercies be stilled? We take refuge with God, from that which His
creatures have fancied about Him! Exalted is He above their
	comprehension! (para 98)

	2) "Torah in the time of Muhammad is the same that we have today" (para 92)

1)	BIBLE

	1) Genesis 1:3 - 5 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the
darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.
And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

2)	KORAN

	1) 24:35 God is the light of the Heavens and of the Earth. His Light
is like a niche in which is a lamp -- the lamp encased in glass --
the glass, as it were, a glistening star. From a blessed tree it is
lighted, the olive neither of the East nor of the West, whose oil
would well nigh shine out, even though fire touched it not! It is
light upon light. God guideth whom He will to His light, and God
setteth forth parables to men, for God knoweth all things. (Rodwell)

	and again

24:35 God is the light of the heavens and the earth. His light may
be compared to a niche that enshrines a lamp, the lamp within a crystal
of star-like brilliance. It is lit from a blessed olive tree neither
eastern nor western. Its very oil would almost shine forth, though
no fire touched it. Light upon light; God guides to His light whom He will.
God speaks in parables to mankind. God has knowledge of all things. (Dawood)

	2) 5:18	O people of the Scriptures! now is our Apostle come to you to
clear up to you much that you concealed of those Scriptures, and to
pass over many things. Now hath a light and a clear Book come to you
from God, by which God will guide him who shall follow after his
good pleasure, to paths of peace, and will bring them out of the
darkness to the light, by his will: and to the straight path will
	he guide them. (Rodwell)

	and again

5:18 People of the Book! Our apostle has come to reveal to you much of
what you have hidden of the Scriptures, and to forgive you much. A
light has come to you from God and a glorious Book, with which God
will guide to the paths of peace those that seek to please Him; He
will lead them by His will from darkness to the light; He will guide
them to a straight path. (Dawood)

	3) 61:8 Fain would they put out the light of God with their mouths!
but though the Infidels hate it, God will perfect his light.
He it is who hath sent his apostle with guidance and the religion of truth,(Rodwell)

	and again

61:8 They seek to extinguish the light of God with their mouths; but God
will perfect His light, much as the unbelievers may dislike it.
It is He who has sent forth His apostle with guidance and the True Faith, (Dawood)

	4) 64:8 Believe then in God and his apostle and in the light which we
have sent down; for God is fully aware of all you do. (Rodwell)

	and again

64:8 Believe then in God and in His apostle, and in the light which We
have revealed. God has knowledge of all your actions. (Dawood)

3)	BIBLE

	1) John	8:12 Again therefore Jesus spake unto them, saying, I am the
light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in the darkness,
but shall have the light of life.

	2) I John 1:5 - 7 And this is the message which we have heard from him
and announce unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness,
we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is
in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of
Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

	3) I John 2:9 - 11 He that saith he is in the light and hateth his
brother, is in the darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth
in the light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth
his brother is in the darkness, and walketh in the darkness, and knoweth not
whither he goeth, because the darkness hath blinded his eyes.

	4) Isaiah 2:5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of God.

	5) Romans 13:11 - 14 And this, knowing the season, that already it is
time for you to awake out of sleep: for now is salvation nearer to
us than when we [first] believed. The night is far spent,
and the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness,
and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk becomingly,
as in the day; not in revelling and drunkenness, not in chambering and
wantonness, not in strife and jealousy. But put ye on the
Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to [fulfil]
	the lusts [thereof].

stop thine ears, that thou mayest hearken unto the sweet melody of my
voice, Blind thine eyes, that is, to all save my beauty; stop thine
ears to all save my word; empty thyself of all learning save the knowledge
of Me; that with a clear vision, a pure heart and an attentive ear
thou mayest enter the court of My Holiness." -- Baha'u'llah

1)	KORAN

	1) 8:22 For the vilest beasts in God's sight, are the deaf, the
dumb, who understand not. Had God known any good in them, he would
certainly have made them hear. (Rodwell)

	and again

8:22 The meanest beasts in God's sight are those that are deaf,
dumb, and devoid of reason.Had God perceived any virtue in them,
He would have surely endowed them with hearing. (Dawood)

	2) 6:39 They who gainsay our signs are deaf, and dumb, in darkness:
God will mislead whom He pleaseth, and whom He pleaseth He will
place upon the straight path. (Rodwell)

	and again

6:39 Deaf and dumb are those that deny Our revelations: they blunder
about in darkness. God confounds whom He will, and guides to the
right path whom He pleases. (Dawood)

	3) 2:15 - 17 These are they who have purchased error at the price
of guidance: but their traffic hath not been gainful, neither are
	they guided at all.
They are like one who kindleth a fire, and when it hath thrown its
light on all around him. . . . God taketh away their light and
leaveth them in darkness -- they cannot see! --
Deaf, dumb, blind: therefore they shall not retrace their steps
	from error! (Rodwell)

	and again

2:15 Such are those that barter guidance for error: they profit
nothing, nor are they on the right path.
They are like one who kindled a fire, but as soon as it lit up
all around him God put it out and left him in darkness: they
	do not see.
Deaf, dumb, and blind, they will never return to the right path. (Dawood)

	4) 35:20 - 21 And the blind and the seeing are not alike; neither
	darkness and light; nor the shade and the hot wind;
Nor are the living and the dead the same thing! God indeed shall
make whom He will to hearken, but thou shalt not make those who
are in their graves to hearken; for only with warning are thou charged. (Rodwell)

	and again

The blind and the seeing are not equal, nor are the darkness and the light.
The shade and the heat are not equal, nor are the living and the dead.
God can cause whom He will to hear Him, but you cannot make those who
are in their graves hear you.(Dawood)

	5) 2:5 - 6 / 8 As to the infidels, alike is it to them whether thou
warn them or warn them not -- they will not believe:
Their hearts and their ears hath God sealed up; and over their eyes
is a covering. For them, a severe chastisement! (Rodwell)

	and again

2:5 As for the unbelievers, it is the same whether or not you forewarn
them; they will not have faith.
God has set a seal upon their hearts and ears; their sight is dimmed
and grievous punishment awaits them. (Dawood)

2)	BIBLE

	1) Exodus 4:10 - 12 And Moses said unto God, Oh, Lord, I am not eloquent,
neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant; for
I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. And God said unto
him, Who hath made man's mouth? Or who maketh [a man] dumb, or deaf,
or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, God?

	2) Exodus 29:18 And thou shalt burn the whole ram upon the altar: it
is a burnt-offering unto God; it is a sweet savor, an offering made
	by fire unto God.

	4) John 9:39 - 41 And Jesus said, For judgment came I into this world,
that they that see not may see; and that they that see may become blind.

	5) Matthew 13:13 - 17 Therefore speak I to them in parables; because
seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they
understand. And unto them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah,
	which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall in no wise understand;
And seeing ye shall see, and shall in no wise perceive:
For this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull
of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest haply they should
perceive with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with
their heart, And should turn again, And I should heal them.
But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they
hear. For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous
men desired to see the things which ye see, and saw them not; and to hear
the things which ye hear, and heard them not.

A)	KORAN / SPIRITUAL LIFE & DEATH

	1) 8:24 O you faithful! make answer to the appeal of God and his
apostle when he calleth you to that which giveth you life. Know that God
cometh in between a man and his own heart, and that to him shall
	you be gathered. (Rodwell)

	and again

8:24 Believers, obey God and the Apostle when he calls you to that
which gives you life. Know that God stands between man and his heart,
and that in His presence you shall all be assembled. (Dawood)

	2) 6:122 Shall the dead, whom we have quickened, and for whom we have
ordained a light whereby he may walk among men, be like him, whose
likeness is in the darkness, whence he will not come forth? Thus
have the doings of the unbelievers been prepared for them.
(Hamzah -- Book Certitude p.78) (Rodwell)

	and again

6:122 Can the dead man whom We have raised to life, and given a light
to walk with among men, be compared to him who is in darkness from
which he will never emerge? Thus do their deeds seem fair to the
	unbelievers. (Dawood)

	3) 2:52 - 53 And when you said, "O Moses! we will not believe thee until
we see God plainly;" the thunderbolt fell upon you while you were looking on:
Then we raised you to life after you had been dead, that haply you
	might give thanks: (Rodwell)

	and again

2:52 - 53 And when you said, 'Moses, we will not believe thee till we
see God openly'; and the thunderbolt took you while you were beholding.
Then We raised you up after you were dead, that haply you should be
	thankful. (Arberry)

	4) 27:82 - 83 Thou shalt not make the dead to hear; neither shalt thou
	make the deaf to hear the call, when they turn away backward;
Neither art thou the guide of the blind out of their errors: none
truly shalt thou make to hear but those who believe our signs:
	and they are Muslims. (Rodwell)

	and again

27:82 You cannot make the dead hear you, nor can you make the deaf hear
your call if they turn their backs and pay no heed; nor can you guide
the blind out of their error. None shall give ear to you save those
who believe in Our revelations and are submissive to Our will. (Dawood)

	5) 77:25 - 26 Have we not made the earth to hold the living and the dead?
	(Rodwell)

	and again

77:25 Have We not made the earth a home for the living and for the dead?
	(Dawood)

B)	KORAN / COMING OUT OF THE GRAVES AND TOMBS /
SPIRITUAL LIFE BY GRACE OF GOD ON DAY OF RESURRECTION /
	DEAD LAND PARABLE

	1) 54:6 - 7 On the day when the summoner shall summon to a stern business,
With downcast eyes shall they come forth from their graves, as if they
were scattered locusts, hastening to the summoner. (Rodwell)

	and again

54:6 The day the Crier summons them to the dread account, they shall
come out from their graves with downcast eyes, and rush towards him
	like swarming locusts. (Dawood)

	2) 50:40 - 42 And list for the day whereon the crier shall cry from a
place near to every one alike: The day on which men shall in truth hear
that shout will be the day of their coming forth from the grave.
Verily, we cause to live, and we cause to die. To us shall all return.
	(Rodwell)

	and again

50:40 Listen on the day when the Crier will call from near; the day
when men will hear the fateful cry.' On that day they will rise up
from their graves. It is We who ordain life and death. To Us shall
	all return. (Dawood)

	3) 50:9 - 11 And we send down the rain from Heaven with its blessings,
by which we cause gardens to spring forth and the grain of harvest,
And the tall palm trees with date-bearing branches one above the other
For man's nourishment: And life give we thereby to a dead land. So also
	shall be the resurrection. (Rodwell)

	and again

50:9 We send down blessed water from the sky with which We bring forth
gardens and the harvest grain, And tall palm-trees laden with clusters
of dates, a sustenance for men; thereby giving new life to a dead land.
Such shall be the Resurrection. (Dawood)

	4) 7:55 And He it is who sendeth forth the winds as the heralds of his
compassion, until they bring up the laden clouds, which we drive along
to some dead land and send down water thereon, by which we cause an
upgrowth of all kinds of fruit. -- Thus will we bring forth the dead.
	Haply you will reflect. (Rodwell)

	and again

7:55 He sends forth the winds as harbingers of His mercy, and when they
have gathered up a heavy cloud, We drive it on to some dead land and
let the water fall upon it, bringing forth all manner of fruit.
Thus will We raise the dead to life. Perchance you will take heed.
	(Dawood)

	5) 57:16 Know that God quickeneth the earth after its death! Now have
we made these signs clear to you, that you may understand. (Rodwell)

	and again

57:16 Know that God restores the earth to life after its death. We
have made plain Our revelations to you, that you may grow in wisdom.
	(Dawood)

C)	BIBLE / SPIRITUAL LIFE AND DEATH (NUMEROUS QUOTATIONS!!!)

	1) John 6:30 - 35 / 38 - 40 They said therefore to him, What sign
showest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost
	thou work?
Our fathers ate manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them
	bread from heaven to eat.
Then Jesus said to them, Verily, verily, I say to you, Moses gave you
not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread
	from heaven.
For the bread of God is he who cometh down from heaven, and giveth
	life to the world.
Then said they to him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. . .
6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will
	of him that sent me.
And this is the Father's will who hath sent me, that of all which he
hath given me, I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again
	at the last day.
And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one who seeth
the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will
raise him up at the last day.
And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me,
shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me, shall never thirst. (Webster)

John 6:47 - 48 / 51 Verily, verily, I say to you, He that believeth
on me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life. . .
6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man
shall eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that
I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. (Webster)

John 6:60 - 63 / 68 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard
this, said, This is a hard saying; who can hear it? When Jesus knew in
himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said to them, Doth this
offend you? What if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
It is the spirit that reviveth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words
that I speak to you, they are spirit, and they are life. . .
6:68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast
	the words of eternal life.

	2) John 5:24 - 26 Verily, verily, I say to you, He that heareth my word,
and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not
come into condemnation; but hath passed from death to life.
Verily, verily, I say to you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the
dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
For as the Father hath life in himself, so hath he given to the Son to
	have life in himself;

John 5:28 - 29 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in which all
	that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth;
they that have done good to the resurrection of life; and they that
have done evil, to the resurrection of damnation.

	3) Luke 9:59 - 60 And he said to another, Follow me. But he said, Lord,
suffer me first to go and bury my father. Jesus said to him, Let the
dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

	4) John 11:22 - 26 But I know that even now, whatever thou wilt ask of
God, God will give it thee. Jesus saith to her, Thy brother shall rise again.
Martha saith to him, I know that he will rise again in the resurrection
at the last day. Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection, and the life:
he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
And whoever liveth, and believeth in me, shall never die. Believest thou this?

	5) Romans 8:1 - 2 / 5 - 6 / 11 - 13 There is therefore now no condemnation
to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh,
but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life, in Christ
Jesus, hath made me free from the law of sin and death. . .
8:5 For they that are according to the flesh, do mind the things of the
flesh: but they that are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is
	life and peace: . . .
8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised Jesus from the dead dwelleth
in you, he that raised Christ from the dead will also revive your mortal
bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are
debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if ye live
according to the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit
mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

	6) I Corinthians 15:35 - 56 But some man will say, How are the dead
raised? and with what body do they come? Thou fool, that which thou
sowest is not vivified except it die:
And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be,
but bare grain; it may be of wheat, or of some other grain:
But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed its
own body. All flesh is not the same flesh; but there is one kind of
flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another
of fowls. There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but
the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial
is another. There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the
moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differeth from
	another star in glory.
15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption,
	it is raised in incorruption:
It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness,
	it is raised in power:
It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a
natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, The
first man Adam was made a living soul, the last Adam was made a
vivifying spirit. However, that was not first which is spiritual,
but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
The first man is from the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord
from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and
as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have
borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom
of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I show you
a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment,
in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet shall
sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal
must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on
incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall
be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up
in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

	7) Ephesians 2:1 - 2 / 4 And you hath he revived, who were dead in
trespasses and sins; In which in time past ye walked according to
the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of
the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: . . .
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,

	8) Ephesians 4:22 - 24 That ye put off concerning the former manner of
life the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts:
And be renewed in the Spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new
man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

	9) Colossians 2:19 And not holding the head, from which all the body
by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together,
increaseth with the increase of God.

	10) Colossians 3:5 - 10 Put to death therefore your members which are upon
the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness,
which is idolatry; for which things' sake cometh the wrath of God upon
the sons of disobedience: wherein ye also once walked, when ye lived
in these things; but now do ye also put them all away: anger, wrath,
malice, railing, shameful speaking out of your mouth: lie not one to
another; seeing that ye have put off the old man with his doings, and
have put on the new man, that is being renewed unto knowledge after the
image of him that created him:

	11) I Peter 1:22 - 23 Seeing ye have purified your souls in your obedience
to the truth unto unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another from
the heart fervently: having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed,
but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth.

SECTION 7

SUN, MOON, STARS, HEAVEN, EARTH & MOUNTAINS

SPIRITUAL THEMES OF THE KORAN (AND THE BIBLE)

1)	GENESIS	1:14 - 18 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament
of heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs,
and for seasons, and for days and years: and let them be for lights
in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was
so. And God made the two great lights; the greater light to rule the
day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
And God set them in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth,

2)	KORAN / SUN, MOON & STARS / HEAVEN, EARTH & MOUNTAINS AT DAY OF RESURECTION

	1) 39:67 - 69 But they have not deemed of God as is He due; for on the
resurrection day the whole Earth shall be but his handful, and in his
right hand shall the Heavens be folded together. Praise be to Him! and
high be He uplifted above the partners they join with Him!
And there shall be a blast on the trumpet, and all who are in the Heavens
and all who are in the Earth shall expire, save those whom God shall
vouchsafe to live. Then shall there be another blast on it, and lo!
arising they shall gaze around them:
And the earth shall shine with the light of her lord, and the Book shall
be set, and the prophets shall be brought up, and the witnesses; and
judgment shall be given between them with equity; and none shall be
	wronged: (Rodwell)

	and again

39:67 They underrate the might of God. But on the Day of Resurrection He
will hold the entire earth in His grasp and fold up the heavens in His
right hand. Glory be to Him! Exalted be He above their idols!
The Trumpet shall be blown, and all who are in the heavens and on earth
shall fall down fainting, except those that shall be spared by God.
Then the Trumpet will be blown again and they shall rise and gaze around
them. The earth will shine with the light of her Lord, and the Book will
be laid open. The prophets and the witnesses shall be brought in, and
all shall be judged with fairness: none shall be wronged. (Dawood)

	2) 69:13 - 16 But when one blast shall be blown on the trumpet, And the
earth and the mountains shall be upheaved, and shall both be crushed
into dust at a single crushing, On that day the woe that must come
suddenly shall suddenly come, And the heaven shall cleave asunder, for
on that day it shall be fragile; (Rodwell)

	and again

69:13 When the Trumpet sounds a single blast; when earth with all its mountains
is raised high and with one mighty crash is flattened into dust -- on that
day the Dread Event will come to pass.
Frail and tottering, the sky will be rent asunder on that day, and the
angels will stand on all its sides with eight of them carrying the throne
of your Lord above their heads. (Dawood)

	3) 70:8 - 9 The day when the heavens shall become as molten brass, And
the mountains shall become like flocks of wool: (Rodwell)

	and again

70:8 On that day the sky shall become like molten brass, and the mountains
like tufts of wool scattered in the wind. (Dawood)

	4) 75:6 - 9 He asketh, "When this day of Resurrection?"
But when the eye shall be dazzled,
And when the moon shall be darkened,
And the sun and the moon shall be together (Rodwell)

	and again

75:6 'When will this be,' he asks, 'this Day of Resurrection?'
	But when the sight of mortals is confounded and the moon eclipsed;
when sun and moon are brought together (Dawood)

	5) 77:7 - 11 Verily that which you are promised is imminent.
When the stars, therefore, shall be blotted out,
And when the heaven shall be cleft,
And when the mountains shall be scattered in dust,
And when the Apostles shall have a time assigned them; (Rodwell)

	and again

77:7 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled!
When the stars are blotted out; when the sky is rent asunder
and the mountains crumble into dust; when the apostles are
brought together on the appointed day (Dawood)

	6) 81:1 - 3 When the sun shall be Folded Up,
And when the stars shall fall,
And when the mountains shall be set in motion, (Rodwell)

	and again

81:1 WHEN the sun ceases to shine; when the stars fall and
the mountains are blown away; (Dawood)

	7) 82:1 - 3 When the Heaven shall Cleave asunder,
And when the stars shall disperse,
And when the seas shall be conmingled, (Rodwell)

	and again

82:1 WHEN the sky is rent asunder; when the stars scatter
and the oceans merge together; (Dawood)

	8) 89:22 - 24 Aye. But when the earth shall be crushed with crushing, crushing,
And thy Lord shall come and the angels rank on rank, And Hell on that
day shall be moved up, -- Man shall on that day remember himself.
But how shall remembrance help him? (Rodwell)

	and again

89:22 No! But when the earth is crushed to fine dust, and your Lord comes
down with the angels, in their ranks, and Hell is brought near -- on
that day man will remember his deeds. But what will memory avail him? (Dawood)

3)	KORAN / SYMBOLIC MEANING OF SUN, MOON, STARS, ETC. . .

	1) 12:3 - 7 When Joseph said to his Father, "O my Father! verily I beheld
eleven stars and the sun and moon -- beheld them make obeisance to me!"
He said, "O my son! tell not thy vision to thy brethren, lest they plot
a plot against thee: for Satan is the manifest foe of man.
It is thus that thy Lord shall choose thee and will teach thee the
interpretation of dark sayings, and will perfect his favours on thee
and on the family of Jacob, as of old he perfected it on thy fathers
Abraham and Isaac; verily thy Lord is Knowing, Wise!"
	Now in Joseph and his brethren are signs for the enquirers;
When they said, "Surely better loved by our Father, than we, who are more
in number, is Joseph and his brother; verily, our father hath clearly
	erred. (Rodwell)

 	and again

12:3 Joseph said to his father: 'Father, I dreamt of eleven stars and the
sun and the moon; I saw them prostrate themselves before me.'
'My son,' he replied, 'say nothing of this dream to your brothers, lest
they plot evil against you: Satan is the sworn enemy of man. Even thus
shall you be chosen by your Lord. He will teach you to interpret visions,
and will perfect His favour to you and to the house of Jacob, as He
perfected it to your forefathers Abraham and Isaac before you. Your Lord
	is all-knowing and wise.'
Surely in Joseph. and his brothers there are signs for doubting men.
They said to each other: 'Surely Joseph and his brother are dearer to
our father than ourselves, though we are many. Truly, our father is
	much mistaken. (Dawood)

12:100 - 101 And when they came into Joseph he took his parents to him,
and said, "Enter you Egypt, if God will, secure."
And he raised his parents to the seat of state, and they fell down bowing
themselves unto him. Then said he, "O my father, this is the meaning of
my dream of old. My Lord hath now made it true, and he hath surely been
gracious to me, since he took me forth from the prison, and hath brought
you up out of the desert, after that Satan had stirred up strife between
me and my brethren; for my Lord is gracious to whom He will; for He is
	the Knowing, the Wise. (Rodwell)

	and again

12:100 And when they went in to Joseph, he embraced his parents and said:
'Welcome to Egypt, safe, if God wills!'
He helped his parents to a couch, and they all fell on their knees and
	prostrated themselves before him.
'This,' said Joseph to his father, 'is the meaning of my old vision:
my Lord has fulfilled it. He has been gracious to me. He has released
me from prison, and brought you out of the desert after Satan had stirred
up strife between me and my brothers. My Lord is gracious to whom He will.
He alone is all-knowing and wise. (Dawood)

	2) 59:21 Had we sent down this Koran on some mountain, thou wouldst certainly
have seen it humbling itself and cleaving asunder for the fear of God.
Such are the parables we propose to men in order that they may reflect. (Rodwell)

	and again

59:21 Had We brought down this Koran upon a mountain, you would have seen
it humble itself and break asunder for feat of God.
In such parables We speak to men, so that they may take thought. (Dawood)

	3) 13:30 If there were a Koran by which the mountains could be set in
motion, or the earth cleft, or the dead be made to speak. . .! But all
sovereignty is in the hands of God. Do then believers doubt that had He
pleased God would certainly have guided all men aright? (Rodwell)

	and again

13:30 And even if there be a Koran whereby the mountains could be set in
motion, the earth rent asunder, and the dead communed with, surely all
things are subject to God's will. Are the faithful unaware that, had He
pleased, God could have guided all mankind? (Dawood)

	4) 33:72 Verily, we proposed to the Heavens, and to the Earth, and to the
Mountains to receive the Faith, but they refused the burden, and they
feared to receive it. Man undertook to bear it, but hath proved unjust,
	senseless! (Rodwell)

	and again

33:72 We offered Our trust to the heavens, to the earth, and to the mountains,
but they refused the burden and were afraid to receive it. Man undertook
to bear it, but he has proved a sinner and a fool. (Dawood)

	5) 21:79 And we gave Solomon insight into the affair; and on both of them
we bestowed wisdom and knowledge. And we constrained the mountains and
the birds to join with David in our praise: Our doing was it! (Rodwell)

	and again

21:79 We gave Solomon insight into the case and bore witness to their
judgement. We bestowed on both of them wisdom and knowledge, and
caused the mountains and the birds to join with David in Our praise.
	All this We did. (Dawood)

	6) 51:22 The Heaven hath sustenance for you, and it containeth that
	which you are promised. (Rodwell)

	and again

51:22 Heaven holds your sustenance and all that you are promised. (Dawood)

(Book of Certitude para 77, pg 44)

4)	BIBLE / SUN, MOON, STARS, HEAVEN, EARTH & MOUNTAINS
	(Webster Bible unless otherwise stated)

	1) Isaiah 24:23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when
the Lord of hosts shall reign on mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before
	his ancients gloriously.

"The moon will be humiliated and the sun will be confused" (in other translations)

	2) Jeremiah 8:2 And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and
all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and
after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have
worshiped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung
upon the face of the earth.

	3) Isaiah 34:2 - 4 For the indignation of the Lord is upon all nations,
and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he
hath delivered them to the slaughter. Their slain also shall be cast out,
and their ill smell shall come up from their carcases, and the mountains
shall be melted with their blood. And all the host of heaven shall be
dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all
their hosts shall fall down, as the leaf falleth from the vine, and as a
	falling fig from the fig-tree.

	4) Isaiah 60:1 - 3 / 19 - 20 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the
glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For behold, the darkness shall cover
the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord will arise upon
thee, and his glory will be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come
to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
60:19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall
the moon give light to thee: but the Lord will be to thee an everlasting
light, and thy God thy glory. Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall
thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord will be thy everlasting light, and
the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

	5) Jeremiah 4:23 - 24 / 28 I beheld the earth, and lo, it was without
form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. I beheld the
mountains, and lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.
4:28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because
I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither
will I turn back from it.

	6) Jeremiah 50:6 My people have been lost sheep: their shepherds have
caused them to go astray, they have turned them away [on] the mountains:
they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their resting-place.

	7) Ezekiel 32:6 - 8 I will also water with thy blood the land in which
thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the rivers shall be full of thee.
And when I shall extinguish thee, I will cover the heaven, and make the
stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall
not give her light. All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over
thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord God.

	8) Daniel 12:1 - 3 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great
prince who standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be
a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to
that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every
one that shall be found written in the book.
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some
to everlasting life, and some to shame [and] everlasting contempt.
	And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament;
and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

	9) Joel	2:10 - 11 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall
tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw
their shining: And the Lord will utter his voice before his army: for his
camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the
day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

	10) Joel 2:30 - 31 And I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth,
blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into
darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible Day
	of the Lord shall come.

	11) Micah 1:3 - 4 For behold, the Lord cometh forth from his place, and
will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth. And the
mountains shall be melted under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as
wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.

	12) Nahum 1:3 - 6 The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will
not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and
in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. He rebuketh the sea,
and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and
Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth. The mountains quake at
him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, even
the world, and all that dwell therein. Who can stand before his indignation?
and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out
like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.

	13) Habakkuk 3:3 - 6 /10 - 11 God came from Teman, and the Holy One from
mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was
full of his praise. And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming
out of his hand; and there was the hiding of his power. Before him went
the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet. He stood, and
measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the
everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his
	ways are everlasting. . .
3:10 The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the
water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands
on high. The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light
of thy arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.

	14) Zachariah 14:1 - 9 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil
shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations
against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses
rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into
captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Then will the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he
fought in the day of battle. And his feet will stand in that day upon the
mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of
Olives shall cleave in the midst of it towards the east and towards the
west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain
shall remove towards the north, and half of it towards the south.
14:5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley
of the mountains shall reach to Azal: yes, ye shall flee as ye fled from
before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord
my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. And it shall come to
pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor
night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening it shall be light.
And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from
Jerusalem; half of them towards the former sea, and half of them towards
the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. And the Lord will
be king over all the earth: in that day will there be one Lord, and
	his name one.

	15) Matthew 24:29 - 31 Immediately after the tribulation of those days,
shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and
the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall
be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:
and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see
the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And he will send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they
will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven
	to the other.

	16) Hebrews 12:25 - 28 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For
if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall
not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying,
Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things
that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which
	cannot be shaken may remain.
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have
grace, by which we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and godly fear.

4) BAHA'U'LLAH / BOOK OF CURTITUDE

	1) Page 22 - 23 / Page 24 - 25 / Page 10 (Paragraphs 31, 36)
Para 31. And now, concerning His words--"The sun shall be darkened, and
the moon shall not give light, and the stars shall fall from heaven." By
the terms "sun" and "moon", mentioned in the writings of the Prophets of God,
is not meant solely the sun and moon of the visible universe. Nay rather,
manifold are the meanings they have intended for these terms. In every
instance they have attached to them a particular significance. . .
It is the warmth that these Luminaries of God generate, and the undying
fires they kindle, which cause the light of the love of God to burn
fiercely in the heart of humanity. . .

Para 36. That the term "sun" hath been applied to the leaders of religion
is due to their lofty position, their fame, and renown. Such are the
universally recognized divines of every age, who speak with authority,
and whose fame is securely established. If they be in the likeness of
the Sun of Truth, they will surely be accounted as the most exalted of
all luminaries; otherwise, they are to be recognized as the focal
centres of hellish fire. . .

	2) Page 25 - 28 (Paragraphs 39, 40, 41, 42)
Para 39. . . .the law of prayer hath constituted a fundamental element
of the Revelation of all the Prophets of God--a law the form and the manner
of which hath been adapted to the varying requirements of every age.
Inasmuch as every subsequent Revelation hath abolished the manners, habits,
and teachings that have been clearly, specifically, and firmly established
by the former Dispensation, these have accordingly been symbolically
expressed in terms of 'sun' and 'moon'. . .

Para 40. . . .the terms "sun" and "moon" have been applied to prayer and
fasting, even as it is said: "Fasting is illumination, prayer is light." ...
And as the sun and moon constitute the brightest and most prominent
luminaries in the heavens, similarly in the heaven of the religion of God
	two shining orbs have been ordained--fasting and prayer. Islám is heaven;
fasting is its sun, prayer, its moon.'"

Para 41. ...Hence, it is clear and manifest that by the words "the sun
shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars
shall fall from heaven" is intended the waywardness of the divines, and
the annulment of laws firmly established by divine Revelation,...

Para 42. It is unquestionable that in every succeeding Revelation the "sun"
and "moon" of the teachings, laws, commandments, and prohibitions which
have been established in the preceding Dispensation, and which have
overshadowed the people of that age, become darkened, that is, are
exhausted, and cease to exert their influence...

	3) Page 43 - 44 (Paragraph 75)
Para 75. In the utterances of the divine Luminaries the term "heaven"
hath been applied to many and divers things; such as the "heaven of
Command," the "heaven of Will," the "heaven of the divine Purpose," the
"heaven of divine Knowledge," the "heaven of Certitude," the "heaven of
Utterance," the "heaven of Revelation," the "heaven of Concealment," and
the like. In every instance, He hath given the term "heaven" a special
meaning, the significance of which is revealed to none save those that
have been initiated into the divine mysteries,...

	4)	Page 29 / Page 30 - 32 / (Paragraphs 46, 48, 51, 52)/ PICTURE
Para 46. In like manner, strive thou to comprehend from these lucid,
these powerful, conclusive, and unequivocal statements the meaning of
the "cleaving of the heaven"--one of the signs that must needs herald
the coming of the last Hour, the Day of Resurrection. As He hath said:
"When the heaven shall be cloven asunder." 31 By "heaven" is meant the
heaven of divine Revelation, which is elevated with every Manifestation,
and rent asunder with every subsequent one. By "cloven asunder" is meant
that the former Dispensation is superseded and annulled...

Para 48. In like manner, endeavour to comprehend the meaning of the
"changing of the earth." Know thou, that upon whatever hearts the bountiful
showers of mercy, raining from the "heaven" of divine Revelation, have
fallen, the earth of those hearts hath verily been changed into the
earth of divine knowledge and wisdom...

5)	"CONCEPTS TO REMEMBER"

	a) Signs for the coming of Messiah (Jesus) in the Old Testament are the
same as the signs for the coming of Muhammad in the Gospel (Apocalyptic signs).

	b) Signs for the coming of the "Day of Judgment", "Day of Resurrection",
"The Hour",... in the Koran are the same as in the Old Testament and the Gospel.

	c) Apocalyptic signs for the "Day of Judgment", "Day of Resurrection" and
the coming of the Messiah (Jesus) supposedly have already occurred.

	d) Muslims do not believe that there is a prophet after Muhammad, but are
waiting for two messengers of God after the Prophet Muhammad -- Two blasts
on the trumpet. One of the messengers is Jesus Christ who is a major
	prophet of God (Rasoul).

6)	NEW HEAVEN & NEW EARTH (NEW RELIGION & NEW HEARTS)

	1) Koran 14:48 - 49 Think not then that God will fail his promise to his
Apostles; aye! God is mighty, and Vengeance is His. On the day when the
Earth shall be changed into another Earth, and the Heavens also, men
shall come forth unto God, the Only, the Victorious. (Rodwell)

	and again

14:48 Never think that God will break the pledge He gave to His apostles.
Mighty is God, and capable of revenge. On the day when the earth is changed
into a different earth and the heavens into new heavens, mankind shall
stand before God, the One, who conquers all. (Dawood)

	2) Koran 21:104 On that day we will roll up the heaven as one rolleth up
written scrolls. As we made the first creation, so will we bring it forth
again. This promise bindeth us; verily, we will perform it. (Rodwell)

	and again

21:104 On that day We shall roll up the heaven like a scroll of parchment.
Just as We brought the First Creation into being, so will We restore it.
This is a promise We shall assuredly fulfil. (Dawood)

	3) Isaiah 65:17 For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the
former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. (Webster Bible)

	4) II Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for
new heavens and a new earth, in which dwelleth righteousness.

	5) Revelations	21:1 - 4 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for
the first heaven and the first earth had passed away; and there was
no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down
from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying, Behold, the tabernacle
of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his
people, and God himself will be with them, and be their God.
And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no
more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more
pain: for the former things have passed away.

7)	KORAN / WATER, RAIN & FOOD (WORD OF GOD) FROM HEAVEN

	1) 8:11 Recollect when sleep, a sign of security from Him, fell upon
you, and he sent down upon you water from Heaven that he might thereby
cleanse you, and cause the pollution of Satan to pass from you, and
that he might gird up your hearts, and stablish your feet by it: (Rodwell)

	and again

8:11 You were overcome by sleep, a token of His protection. He sent down
water from the sky to cleanse you and to purify you of Satan's filth,
to strengthen your hearts and to steady your footsteps. (Dawood)

	2) 13:2 - 8 It is God who hath reared the Heavens without pillars thou
canst behold; then mounted his throne, and imposed laws on the sun and
moon: each travelleth to its appointed goal. He ordereth all things. He
maketh his signs clear, that you may have firm faith in a meeting with
your Lord. And He it is who hath outstretched the earth, and placed on it
the firm mountains, and rivers: and of every fruit He hath placed on it
two kinds: He causeth the night to enshroud the day. Verily in this are
signs for those who reflect. And on the earth hard by each other are its
various portions: gardens of grapes and corn, and palm trees single or
clustered. Though watered by the same water, yet some make we more excellent
as food than other: Verily in all this are signs for those who understand.
If ever thou dost marvel, marvellous surely is their saying, "What! when
we have become dust, shall we be restored in a new creation?" (Rodwell)

	and again

13:2 It was God who raised the heavens without visible pillars. He then
ascended the throne and pressed the sun and the moon into His service,
each pursuing an appointed course. He ordains all things. He makes plain
His revelations so that you may firmly believe in meeting your Lord.
It was He who spread out the earth and placed upon it mountains and rivers.
He gave all plants their male and female parts and drew the veil of night
over the day. Surely in these there are signs for thinking men.
And in the land there are adjoining plots: vineyards and cornfields and
groves of palm, the single and the clustered. Their fruits are nourished
by the same water: yet We make the taste of some more favoured than the
taste of others. Surely in this there are signs for men of understanding.
If anything could make you marvel, then you should surely marvel at those
who say: 'When we are dust, shall we be restored in a new creation?' (Dawood)

(Dawood)

SECTION 8

THE DAY & THE NIGHT (SUN, MOON & STARS)

SPRITUAL THEMES OF THE KORAN (AND THE BIBLE)

1)	The "day" is the day of God or the day of the manifestation of God.
The manifestation of God, like the sun, provides the light of day to
the earth (the hearts of men) to allow spiritual growth. The "night"
is the absence of the light of the manifestation God.

The moon (Imam Ali) and the stars (The imams) shine at night after
the setting of the "sun of truth" (Muhammad) to guide mankind.

	6)	Revelations	21:1 - 2 / 5 - 7 / 24 - 25
	7)	Revelations	22:5

"O Children of Fancy! Know verily that while the radiant dawn breaketh above the
horizon of eternal holiness, the satanic secrets and deeds done in the gloom (darkness)
of night shall be laid bare and manifest before the peoples of the world. " --
Baha'u'llah

"The fact that during the night season everyone perceiveth the light which he himself,
according to his own capacity, giveth out, oblivious that at the break of day this
light shall fade away and be reduced to utter nothingness before the dazzling
splendour of the sun. -- The Bab

"Those who have deprived themselves of this Resurrection by reason of their mutual
hatreds or by regarding themselves to be in the right and others jo be in the wrong,
were chastised on the Day of Resurrection by reason of such hatreds evinced during
their night." -- The Bab

2)	KORAN / DAY & NIGHT (DAY OF PROPHET & DAY WITHOUT PROPHET)

	1) 3:187 Verily, in the creation of the Heavens and of the Earth, and in
the succession of the night and of the day, are signs for men of understanding
	heart;

	2) 17:13 We have made the night and the day for two signs: the sign of
the night do we obscure, but the sign of the day cause we to shine forth,
that you may seek plenty from your Lord, and that you may know the number
of the years and the reckoning of time; and we have made everything
	distinct by distinctiveness.

	3) 25:63 - 65 And it is He who hath ordained the night and the day to
succeed one another for those who desire to think on God or desire to
be thankful. And the servants of the God of Mercy are thy who walk upon
the Earth softly; and when the ignorant address them, they reply, "Peace!"
They that pass the night in the worship of their lord prostrate and standing: --

	4) 52:48 - 49	"Night-season & The imams"
	   Wait thou patiently the judgment of thy Lord, for thou art in our eye;
and celebrate the praise of thy Lord when thou risest up, And in the
night-season: Praise him when the stars are setting.

	5) 113:1 - 3 Say: I betake me for refuge to the Lord of the Day Break
Against the mischiefs of his creation; And against the mischief of the
	night when it overtaketh me;

	6) 25:47 - 49	He makes each day a resurrection't (Dawood)
Hast thou not seen how thy Lord lengthened out the shadow? Had He pleased
he had made it motionless. But we made the sun to be its guide; Then draw
it in unto Us with easy indrawing. He it is who ordaineth the night as a
garment, and sleep for rest, and ordaineth the day for waking up to life:

	7) 6:60	It is He who taketh your souls at night, and knoweth what you
have merited in the day: then he awaketh you therein, that the set
life-term may be fulfilled: then unto Him shall you return; and then
shall he declare to you that which you have wrought. (Rodwell)

3) BIBLE / DAY & NIGHT

	1) Jeremiah 33:19 - 20 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying,
Thus saith the Lord; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my
covenant of the night, so that there should not be day and night in
	their season;

	4) Zachariah 14:4 - 7 "Jesus - The Lord"
And his feet will stand in that day upon the mount of Olives,
which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives
shall cleave in the midst of it towards the east and towards the west, and
there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove
towards the north, and half of it towards the south. And ye shall flee to
the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach
to Azal: yes, ye shall flee as ye fled from before the earthquake in the
days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the
saints with thee. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light
shall not be clear, nor dark: But it shall be one day which shall be
known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that
at evening it shall be light.

	5) I Thessalonians 5:4 - 5 / 7 - 8 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness,
that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all children of light,
and children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. . .
For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that are drunken, are
drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting
on the breast-plate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

	6) Revelations	21:1 - 2 / 5 - 7 / 24 - 25 And I saw a new heaven and a new
earth: for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away; and there
was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down
from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. . .
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And
he said to me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said to
me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will
give to him that is thirsty of the fountain of the water of life freely.
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and
he shall be my son. . .
And the nations of them who are saved shall walk in the light of it: and
the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. And the gates
of it shall not be shut by day: for there shall be no night there.

	7) Revelations	22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no
candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and
they shall reign for ever and ever.

THE CLOUDS / SMOKE

1)	KORAN

	1) 2:206 What can such expect but that God should come down to them overshadowed
with clouds, and the angels also, and their doom be sealed? And to God shall
	all things return.

	2) 25:27 On that day shall the heaven with its clouds be cleft, and the
angels shall be sent down, descending:

	3) 44:9 - 10 But mark them on the day when the Heaven shall give out a
palpable smoke, Which shall enshroud mankind: this will be an afflictive
	torment.

	4) 83:14 No! Their own deeds have drawn a veil over their hearts. (Dawood)

2)	BIBLE

	1) Exodus 19:9 - 11 And the Lord said to Moses, Lo, I come to thee in
a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and
believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people to the Lord.
And the Lord said to Moses, Go to the people, and sanctify them to-day
and to-morrow, and let them wash their clothes, And be ready against the
third day: for on the third day the Lord will come down in the sight of
all the people upon mount Sinai.

	2) Ezekiel 30:1 - 3 The word of the Lord came again to me, saying, Son of
man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Howl ye, Alas the day!
	For the day is near, even the day of the Lord is near, a cloudy day;
it shall be the time of the heathen.

	3) Joel	2:1 - 2 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my
holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the
day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness
and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the
morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there
hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even
to the years of many generations.

	4) Zephaniah 1:14 - 16 The great day of the Lord is near, it is near,
and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord: the
mighty man shall cry there bitterly. That day is a day of wrath, a day
of trouble and distress, a day of wasting and desolation, a day of
darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, A day of
the trumpet and alarm against the fortified cities, and against
	the high towers.

	5) Matthew 24:29 - 30 Immediately after the tribulation of those days,
shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and
the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall
be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:
and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see
the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

3)	BAHA'U'LLAH / BOOK OF CERTITUDE

	1) Para 79, 80, 81, 82, 83 Page 46 - 49
And now regarding His words, that the Son of man shall "come in the
clouds of heaven." By the term "clouds" is meant those things that are
contrary to the ways and desires of men. Even as He hath revealed in the
verse already quoted: "As oft as an Apostle cometh unto you with that which
your souls desire not, ye swell with pride, accusing some of being impostors
and slaying others." These "clouds" signify, in one sense, the annulment of
laws, the abrogation of former Dispensations, the repeal of rituals and
customs current amongst men, the exalting of the illiterate faithful above
the learned opposers of the Faith. In another sense, they mean the appearance
of that immortal Beauty in the image of mortal man, with such human
limitations as eating and drinking, poverty and riches, glory and abasement,
sleeping and waking, and such other things as cast doubt in the minds of men,
and cause them to turn away. All such veils are symbolically referred to
	as "clouds."

THE TRIUMPH

1)	KORAN

	1) 36:48 - 53 And they said, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what
you say be true?" They await but a single blast: as they are wrangling
shall it assail them: And not a bequest shall they be able to make, nor
to their families shall they return. And the trumpet shall be blown, and,
lo! they shall speed out of their sepulchres to their Lord: They shall say,
"Oh! woe is us! who hath roused us from our sleeping place? 'Tis what the
God of Mercy promised; and the Apostles spake the truth." But one blast
shall there be, and, lo! they shall be assembled before us, all together.

	2) 69:13 - 16 But when one blast shall be blown on the trumpet, And the
earth and the mountains shall be upheaved, and shall both be crushed into
dust at a single crushing, On that day the woe that must come suddenly
shall suddenly come, And the heaven shall cleave asunder, for on that day
	it shall be fragile;

	3) 74:7 - 10 And bestow not favours that thou mayest receive again with
increase; And for thy Lord wait thou patiently. For when there shall be a
trump on the trumpet, That shall be a distressful day, A day, to the
	Infidels, devoid of ease.

	4) 79:6 - 14 One day, the disturbing trumpet-blast shall disturb it, Which
the second blast shall follow: Men's hearts on that day shall quake: --
Their looks be downcast. The infidels will say, "Shall we indeed be restored
as at first? What! when we have become rotten bones?" "This then," say they,
"will be a return to loss." Verily, it will be but a single blast, And lo!
they are on the surface of the earth.

	5) 39:67 - 69 But they have not deemed of God as is He due; for on the
resurrection day the whole Earth shall be but his handful, and in his right
hand shall the Heavens be folded together. Praise be to Him! and high be
He uplifted above the partners they join with Him! And there shall be a
blast on the trumpet, and all who are in the Heavens and all who are in
the Earth shall expire, save those whom God shall vouchsafe to live. Then
shall there be another blast on it, and lo! arising they shall gaze around
them: And the earth shall shine with the light of her lord, and the Book
shall be set, and the prophets shall be brought up, and the witnesses; and
judgment shall be given between them with equity; and none shall be wronged:

2)	BIBLE

	1) Exodus 19:16 - 19 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning,
that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount,
and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that
were in the camp trembled. And Moses brought forth the people out of the
camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.
And mount Sinai was altogether in a smoke, because the Lord descended upon
it in fire: and the smoke of it ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and
the whole mount trembled greatly. And when the voice of the trumpet sounded
long, and grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.

	2) Exodus 20:1 - 20
"Sound of the trumpet is associated with the advent of the Law of God on earth"
Day of God, the Day of the Lord, the Day that the Lord will appear,..."

And God spoke all these words, saying, I am the Lord
thy God, who have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house
of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make
to thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven
above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under
the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for
I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers
	upon the children to the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
And showing mercy to thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord
will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Remember the
sabbath-day to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt
not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man-servant,
nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within
thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and
all that is in them, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed
the sabbath-day, and hallowed it. Honor thy father and thy mother; that
thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou shalt not steal.
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. Thou shalt not
covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife,
nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his ass,
nor any thing that is thy neighbor's. And all the people saw the thunderings,
and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking:
and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. And they
said to Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God
speak with us, lest we die. And Moses said to the people, Fear not: for
God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces,
	that ye sin not.

	3) Matthew 24:29 - 31	"Trumpet - Day of the Lord"
Immediately after the tribulation of those days, shall the sun be darkened,
and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from
heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall
appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the
tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming
in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send
his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather his
elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

	4) l Thessalonians 4:15 - 16	"Trumpet - Day of The Archangel"
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive
and remain to the coming of the Lord shall not precede them who are asleep.
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice
of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ
	  shall rise first:

	5) Revelations	1:10 / 12 - 18	I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day,
and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, . . . And I turned
to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned, I saw seven golden
candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like the
Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the
paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool,
as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet
like fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the
sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out
of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as
the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet
	as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying to me, Fear not;
I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold,
I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

	6) Revelations 10:7 / 15 - 19	"Trumpet - Day of God's Plan"
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to
sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his
servants the prophets. . . And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth
out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt
them, he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven,
that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters
to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as
they will. And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast
that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and
shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the
street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt,
where also our Lord was crucified. And they of the people, and kindreds,
and languages, and nations, shall see their dead bodies three days and a
half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

	2) Para 121, 122 When the light of Qur'ánic Revelation was kindled
within the chamber of Muhammad's holy heart, He passed upon the people the
verdict of the Last Day, the verdict of resurrection, of judgment, of life,
and of death. Thereupon the standards of revolt were hoisted, and the doors
	of derision opened.

	3) "Day of resurrection occurred in the time of Muhammad"

MEETING GOD / MEETING THEIR LORD

1)	KORAN	(NUMEROUS QUOTATIONS IN KORAN & BIBLE !!!)

	1) 6:31 Lost are they who deny the meeting with God until "the Hour"
cometh suddenly upon them! Then will they say, "Oh, our signs for past
negligence of this hour!" and they shall bear their burdens on their
back! Will not that be evil with which they shall be burdened?

	2) 6:156 Blessed, too, this Book which we have sent down. Wherefore follow
it and fear God, that you may find mercy:

	3) 10:7 / 12 / 16 Verily, they who hope not to meet Us, and find their
satisfaction in this world's life, and rest on it, and who of our signs
are heedless; -- . . . Should God hasten evil on men as they fain would
hasten their good, then were their end decreed! So leave we those who
hope not to meet Us, bewildered in their error. . . But when our clear
signs are recited to them, they who look not forward to meet Us, say,
"Bring a different Koran from this, or make some change in it." Say: It
is not for me to change it as mine own soul prompteth. I follow only what
is revealed to me: verily, I fear, if I rebel against my Lord, the punishment
	of a great day.

	4) 18:47 And each shall have his book put into his hand: and thou shalt
see the wicked in alarm at that which is therein: and they shall say,
"O woe to us! what meaneth this Book? It leaveth neither small nor great
unnoted down!" And they shall find all that they have wrought present to
them, and thy Lord will not deal unjustly with any one.

	5) 27:89 On that day there shall be a blast on the trumpet, and all that
are in the heavens, and all that are on the earth shall be terror-stricken,
save him whom God pleaseth to deliver; and all shall come to him in humble
	guise.

	6) 29:4 To him who hopeth to meet God, the set time of God will surely come.
	The Hearer, the Knower, He!

	7) 30:7 Have they not considered within themselves that God hath not
created the Heavens and the Earth and all that is between them but for
a serious end, and for a fixed term? But truly most men believe not
that they shall meet their Lord.

	8) 25:23 They who look not forward to meet Us say, "If the angels be not
sent down to us, or unless we behold our Lord...." Ah! they are proud of
heart, and exceed with great excess!

  	9) 32:4	"1000 years for muslims to meet the Lord"
From the Heaven to the Earth He governeth all things: in the end shall
they come up to him on a day whose length shall be a thousand of such
	years as you reckon.

2)
	1) Deuteronomy	29:10-15	"Moses - Presence of God"
Ye stand this day all of you before the Lord your God; your captains of
your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,
Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that is in thy camp, from
the hewer of thy wood to the drawer of thy water: That thou shouldst
enter into covenant with the Lord thy God, and into his oath, which the
Lord thy God maketh with thee this day: That he may establish thee to-day
for a people to himself, and that he may be to thee a God, as he hath
said to thee, and as he hath sworn to thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac,
	and to Jacob. Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath;
But with him that standeth here with us this day before the Lord our God,
and also with him that is not here with us this day:

	2) Isaiah 9:1-2	"Jesus - Land of Nazareth"
Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her distress, when
at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun, and the land
of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by
the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that
dwell in the land of the shades of death, upon them hath the light shined.

	3) Isaiah 25:6-8 And on this mountain will the Lord of hosts make to all
people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat
things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. And he will
destroy on this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people,
and the vail [that is] spread over all nations. He will swallow up
death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all
faces; and the rebuke of his people will he remove from all the earth:
for the Lord hath spoken it.

	4) Zachariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter
of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh to thee: he [is] just, and
having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the
	   foal of an ass.

	5) Zachariah 9:14-16 And the Lord shall be seen over them, and his arrow
shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD will blow the trumpet,
and will go with whirlwinds of the south. The Lord of hosts will defend
them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling-stones; and they shall
drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like
bowls, and as the corners of the altar. And the Lord their God will
save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as
the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.

	6) Zachariah 14:4-5 And his feet will stand in that day upon the mount of
Olives, which [is] before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of
Olives shall cleave in the midst of it towards the east and towards
the west, [and there shall be] a very great valley; and half of the
mountain shall remove towards the north, and half of it towards the south.
And ye shall flee [to] the valley of the mountains; for the valley of
the mountains shall reach to Azal: yes, ye shall flee as ye fled from
before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord
my God shall come, [and] all the saints with thee.

	7) Malachi 3:1	"John The Baptist"
Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me:
and the Lord, whom ye seek, will suddenly come to his temple, even the
messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he will come,
	   saith the Lord of hosts.

*	8) Matthew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think
not, the Son of man cometh.

*	9) Matthew 25:31-33 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all
the holy angels with him, then will he sit upon the throne of his glory:
And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he will separate them
one from another, as a shepherd divideth [his] sheep from the goats:
And he will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

(Koran - 56:7-16) And into three bands shall you be divided: Then the people
of the right hand -- Oh! how happy shall be the people of the right hand!
And the people of the left hand -- Oh! how wretched shall be the people
of the left hand! And they who were foremost on earth -- the foremost still.
	  These are they who shall be brought nigh to God, In gardens of delight;
A crown of the former And few of the latter generations; On inwrought
couches Reclining on them face to face:

3)	BAHA'U'LLAH / BOOK OF CERTITUDE

	1) Page 88-89 para 148/ For the highest and most excelling grace bestowed
upon men is the grace of "attaining unto the Presence of God" and of His
recognition, which has been promised unto all people. This is the utmost
degree of grace vouchsafed unto man by the All-Bountiful, the Ancient
of Days, and the fulness of His absolute bounty upon His creatures.

91 - 92 para 151 These Prophets and chosen Ones of God are the recipients
and revealers of all the unchangeable attributes and names of God.
They are the mirrors that truly and faithfully reflect the light of God.
Whatsoever is applicable to them is in reality applicable to God,
Himself, Who is both the Visible and the Invisible.

	2)	"Day of resurrection: The Day of the rise of God Himself'

	3)	"Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life." John 11:25

4)	KORAN / OBEYING PROPHET IS OBEYING GOD HIMSELF

	1) 48:10 In truth, they who plighted fealty to thee, really plighted that
fealty to God: the hand of God was over their hands! Whoever, therefore,
shall break his oath shall only break it to his own hurt; but whoever
shall be true to his engagement with God, He will give him a great reward.

	2) 8:17 So it was not you who slew them, but God slew them; and those shafts
were God's not thine! He would make trial of the faithful by a gracious
trial from Himself: Verily, God Heareth, Knoweth.

1)	KORAN

 	1) 10:50 Say: I have no power over my own weal or woe, but as God pleaseth.
Every people hath its time: when their time is come, they shall neither
retard nor advance it an hour.

	2) 7:29 / 32 - 33 O children of Adam! wear your goodly apparel when you
repair to any mosque, and eat you and drink; but exceed not, for He
loveth not those who exceed. . .
Every nation hath its set time. And when their time is come, they shall
not retard it an hour; and they shall not advance it. O children of Adam!
there shall come to Apostles from among yourselves, rehearsing my signs
to you; and whoso shall fear God and do good works, no fear shall be
upon them, neither shall they be put to grief.

	3) 15:4 - 5 We never destroyed a city whose term was not perfixed: No people
can forstall or retard its destiny.

	4) 5:22	O people of the Book! now hath our Apostle come to you to clear
up to year the cessation of Apostles, lest you should say, "There hath
come to us no bearer of good tidings, nor any warner." But now hath a
bearer of good tidings and a warner reached you. And God is Almighty.

	5) 5:112 - 115 Remember when the Apostles said -- "O Jesus, son of Mary!
is thy Lord able to send down a furnished table to us out of Heaven?"
He said -- "Fear God if you be believers." They said -- "We desire to
eat therefrom, and to have our hearts assured; and to know that thou
hast indeed spoken truth to us, and to be witnesses thereof."
Jesus, Son of Mary, said -- "O God, our Lord! send down a table to us
out of Heaven, that it may become a recurring festival to us, to the
first of us and to the last of us, and a sign from thee; and do thou
nourish us, for thou art the best of nourishers."

	6) 13:38 Apostles truly have we already sent before thee, and wives and
offspring have we given them. Yet no apostle had come with miracles
unless by leave of God. To each age its Book.

	7) 2:137 Thus have we made you a middle kingdom, that you may be witnesses
in regard to mankind, and that the apostle may be a witness in
	   regard to you.

	10) 23:43 - 46 Then did the shout 'of the destroying angel' in justice
surprise them, and we made them like leaves swept down by a torrent,.
Away then with the wicked people!
Then raised we up other generations after them --
Neither too soon, nor too late, shall a people reach its appointed time --
Then sent we our apostles one after another. Oft as their apostle
presented himself to a nation, they treated him as a liar; and we caused
one nation to follow another; and we made them the burden of a tale.
Away then with the people who believe not!

	11) 46:2

2)	KORAN / DAY OF ISLAM (1000 YEARS)

*	1) 22:46 And they will bid thee to hasten the chastisement. But God
cannot fail His threat. And verily, a day with thy Lord is as a
thousand years, as you reckon them!

***	2) 32:4 From the Heaven to the Earth He governeth all things: in the
end shall they come up to him on a day whose length shall be a thousand
of such years as you reckon.

*	3) 20:102 - 104 On that day there shall be a blast on the trumpet, and
We will gather the wicked together on that day with leaden eyes:
They shall say in a low voice, one to another, -- "You tarried but
ten days on earth." We are most knowing with respect to that which
they will say when the most veracious of them will say. "You have
	   not tarried above a day."

DAY OF RESURECTION WILL PASS /
THE MUSLIMS WILL NOT KNOW THAT IT PASSED

KORAN

1) 30:54 - 57 And on the day whereon the Hour shall arrive, the wicked will swear
That not above an hour have they waited: Even so did they utter lies on
earth: But they to whom knowledge and faith have been given will say,
"You have waited, in accordance with the book of God, till the day of
Resurrection: for this is the day of the Resurrection -- but you knew
	it not."
On that day their plea shall not avail the wicked, neither shall they
again be bidden to seek acceptance with God. And now have we set before
men, in this Koran, every kind of parable: yet if thou bring them a single
verse of it, the infidels will surely say, "You are only utterers of
	vain things." (Rodwell)

2) BIBLE

	1) Matthew 24:36 - 37 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no,
not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of
Noah were, so will also the coming of the Son of man be.

	1) Matthew 24:42 - 44 Watch therefore; for ye know not what hour your
Lord cometh. But know this, that if the master of the house knew in
what watch the thief would come, he would watch, and would not
suffer his house to be broken up.

1)	KORAN

	1) 23:1 - 5 / 15 - 16 Happy now the believers, Who humble them in
their prayer, And who keep aloof from vain words, And who are doers

waked up on the day of resurrection. (Rodwell)

	2) 39:31 - 32 Thou truly shall die, O Muhammad, and they too shall die:
Then, at the day of resurrection, you shall wrangle with one another
